A non-transferable membership card will be issued on receipt of
annual subscription. The card must be carried at all times when
on the club’s premises and produced when requested by a Committee
member.
1. Leave of Absence
A member may apply to the committee for up to a year’s leave
of absence. The approval of such requests will be at the discretion
of the Committee and their decision will be final.
2. Change of Address
It is the responsibility of a member to advise the Secretary of
any change of address.
3. Dress Standards
Members are requested to wear correct tennis attire at all times
whilst playing at the club. Clothing such as jeans, board shorts,
singlets and tank tops are not permitted. Clothing worn must be
designed and manufactured as tennis apparel. Tracksuits are permitted.
Please ensure you wear correct tennis shoes suitable for porous
tennis courts. Ripple sole, cross trainer, jogging, running, cricket
shoes or shoes with a raised heel or with studs ARE NOT PERMITTED
as they may damage the court surface.
4. Maintenance & Security of Clubhouse
& Courts
It is the responsibility of all members to keep the clubhouse clean
and assist with the maintenance of the courts.
Courts must be watered before play and bagged and watered (end to
end) at the end of each set.
If you are last to leave please ensure the clubhouse
doors and windows are shut and the entrance gate is shut and locked
if possible.
5. Visitors - $3 Juniors
$7 Adults
Members are welcome to bring a guest to the Club. It is the member’s
responsibility to ensure that visitor's fees are paid before commencement
of Play by placing the correct money in an envelope and posting
it through the office door. A member may bring the same visitor
6 times in any one year.
6. Subscriptions are due on 1st January each year
and are payable in advance.
7. Membership is to be interpreted as giving the right
to play in accordance with fees paid, and is not governed by the
use made of the facilities provided.
8. This club, by its Articles, requires a written
notice of resignation from its Members intending to leave. Members
resigning during the current year may not claim a refund or reduction
of fees by reason thereof.
9. A Member who omits to notify the Secretary of such
intention to resign and allows his or her name to remain on the
roll, shall remain liable for fees until such resignation is received
and accepted.
10. Admission as a playing Member may be subject to
approval of the Membership Committee as to standard of play.
11. Membership is subject at all times to each Member’s
record of compliance with the Club Rules. The payment of each Annual
Subscription will be accepted by the Directors as evidence of the
Member’s implied and continuing acceptance of those Rules.
12. Failure to observe the Club Rules can result in
the cancellation of Membership.
13. Selection to represent the Club in inter club
competition is to be interpreted as a privilege and NOT a right.
Team selection and grading cannot be guaranteed and shall be the
sole prerogative of the Board of Directors acting on the recommendations
of the Club Selectors
14. The Memorandum and Articles of Association may
be sighted on application to the Honorary Secretary.
