The Glen Iris Valley Recreation Club (A.C.N. 004 103 440) Was founded in 1923 and was originally located at Brixton Rise in Glen Iris on the south western side of Gardiner's Creek. Bowls,Croquet and Tennis sections were active.

The Club's land was resumed for construction of the South Eastern Freeway Link in the 1980's and subsequently the Tennis section was relocated to 260-270 High Street Road, Mt.Waverley on land leased from the Riversdale Golf Club.
